The Shrine of Carmine it is one of the most popular walking destinations for those staying at the Court of Margaa not too long route, rich in history and charm, nestled in the greenery of the Treviso Prealps.

The Sanctuary, dating back to 17th century, is a jewel of religious architecture set in the countryside.

It was erected around 1600 to honour Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Local tradition links it to the deep devotion of the “Mianesi” who sought protection for their crops and families.

Architecture: The present church, the result of successive extensions, has an elegant portico (prothyrum) that welcomes pilgrims and offers panoramic shelter over the valley. It is a place of silence and reflection, a symbol of Miane's identity.

🥾 The Routes to reach the Carmine Sanctuary

Starting from the Marga Court (259 m), two main routes can be followed to reach the religious complex, located at about 350 m altitude.

1. The “Strada Vecia” (Historic Route)

This is the old cobbled path that the faithful used to walk in procession, a gentle walk, suitable for all, with only 91 metres of elevation gain that will take you to your destination in less than 30 minutes, walking along paved alleyways and a grassy path.

2. Landrel Path (Hiker Variant)

If you want a more “wild” approach, you can take the path leading to the Landrel cave. In this case, the sanctuary becomes a stage of a broader tour that will take you with a difference in altitude of 150 metres to the Landrel crossroads; this second path is of the hiking type and requires shoes suitable for wooded paths with steeper slopes.

🔄 The Ring Road Variant

In order not to go back the same way, we suggest this circular route that starts and returns to the Marga Court:

1. Ascent: From the Corte di Marga, take the “Strada Vecia” to the Sanctuary.
2. Stop: Visit the Carmine churchyard to admire the panorama over Miane.
3. Continuation: Continue towards the Capitello di Sant'Antonio or the Landrel crossroads for a short wooded stretch.
4. Return: We descend towards the centre of Miane, closing the loop in Via IV Novembre.

The total distance of the loop is approximately 3.5 km and is covered at a relaxed pace in 1 hr 20 min; the loop route has a difference in altitude of approximately 120 m and a gradient of between 8 and 10%
