The ancient <strong>Municipality of Treviso<\/strong> it is still there, buried beneath the limestone of centuries. If you walk through the alleys of the centre, you are following the ancient path of the Roman Cardo and Decumanus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But it was in the Middle Ages that the city experienced its golden age. Before becoming Venice's \u201cmost faithful,\u201d Treviso was a proud city-state, famous throughout Europe for its outlaw courts and courtly festivals.
