2026 edition concluded (27 September 2026). This year’s Prosecco Cycling took place as scheduled in Valdobbiadene. The dates for the next edition have not yet been officially announced: we will update this page as soon as the organization makes them known. In the meantime, The Court of Marga It remains the ideal base for a trip to the UNESCO Prosecco Hills in any season.
Every last Sunday of September, the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — fill with bicycles. It is the Prosecco Cycling, one of Italy's most beloved cycling granfondos, and returns in 2026 Sunday 27 September with start and finish in Piazza G. Marconi in Valdobbiadene.
If you are among the cyclists already marking the date on your calendar — or if you are coming from out of town and wondering where to stay for the weekend — La Corte di Marga is at about a 15-minute drive (10-12 km) from the finish line, in the heart of the very same territory you will cycle through.
In recent years, Prosecco Cycling has transformed: from a “time-trial” granfondo into a true food, wine and cycle-tourism experience. The most curious rule, introduced with the 2025 edition and confirmed for 2026, makes it clear: those who complete the route in less than 3 hours and 10 minutes does not make the leaderboard. A way, say the organisers, to invite everyone to lift their heads from the handlebars and enjoy the scenery, not just the stopwatch.
The route remains the classic one: 100 km and 1,510 metres of elevation gain, a continuous up-and-down among vineyards, historic villages and views over the hills of the UNESCO World Heritage site, passing through 14 municipalities of the Denomination. Those who nevertheless want a bit of healthy competition will find three timed climbs — Via Busi, Ca’ del Poggio and Collalto — which determine the individual and team standings. The rest of the route is designed to be experienced at a leisurely pace, even in a group or in company.
The event is also open to those who do not usually compete (a competitive medical certificate for cycling is still required) and easily accommodates e-bike.
The distinguishing feature of Prosecco Cycling is the “Grand Tour Gourmet”: along the route there are true food and wine stops, not the usual energy gels.

Whether you are in the saddle or following the race, having a peaceful base a stone's throw from Valdobbiadene changes the weekend:
And if you spend the weekend out of the saddle too, the Prosecco Hills offer much more besides: from easier e-bike rides all guided Prosecco Superiore DOCG tastings for those who want to find out more about what they are drinking at the gourmet stops.
Book your stay for the weekend of 26-27 September 2026 directly on the official website of La Corte di Marga — the best rate is always guaranteed to those who book direct, without intermediaries.
How far is La Corte di Marga from the start of the Prosecco Cycling?
About 15 minutes by car, 10-12 km, from Miane to Piazza G. Marconi in Valdobbiadene.
Are registrations for the 2026 Prosecco Cycling still open?
In the days leading up to the event, registrations were still open with limited places and applications growing rapidly: check the updated fee and deadline on the official event website before registering.
Can I come just for the atmosphere, without running?
Yes. The arrival in Piazza G. Marconi and the food and wine stops along the route (in San Pietro di Feletto, Col San Martino and Refrontolo) are celebratory moments open to the local area, not just registered participants — a good reason to spend the weekend in the Prosecco Hills even just as spectators.
