From a rural breakfast in Miane to a romantic dinner among the Cartizze vineyards, here is the programme for an unforgettable day dedicated to taste.
The tour begins in the heart of our accommodation. A zero-kilometre breakfast: homemade cakes, honey from our hills, and alpine pasture cheeses.
We'll start by taking the Prosecco road (Strada del Prosecco) towards Valdobbiadene (11 km) to discover the cradle of Prosecco production. Once in the centre, we'll visit Piazza Marconi. Here, an imposing... bell tower built in 1743 and the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. The church, dating back to the 15th century, was later converted in Neoclassical style at the end of the 18th century: numerous artworks are kept inside. A short walk from Piazza Marconi we find Villa dei Cedri, building with 19th-century charm that owes its name to the trees in its park.
We then move to the fSan Pietro di Barbozza district to visit the’Hermitage of Saint Albert and i Zoe's stones, originally not too much Piave stones; These sculptures originate from the imagination of Angelo Favero, known as “Zoe”, an artist who shapes and smooths natural stones, giving them new life and creating particularly expressive characters nicknamed "putinòt".
Let's head towards Valdobbiadene, to the Cartizze hill. Here, the Osteria senz’Oste is a must-stop for the view and a quick “cicchetto”.
A stop rich in history and tradition that takes us to visit this three-storey stone and brick farmhouse, built at the end of the 19th century and preserved in its original state among the vineyards of the Prosecco hills; you will find the farmhouse door always open with some homemade food products on the table and brief written instructions. Step out and admire the view that this fantastic visit offers you.
Next to it, you will find one of the best-known wineries in this area, Col Vetoraz, for a taste of their excellent wine selection with breathtaking views.
For lunch we choose Locanda Sandi, Zecchei, Tessere Street, 1 Valdobbiadene
After lunch, a visit to the winery to understand the quality pyramid. We choose Adam (Via Soprapiana, 36 in Colbertaldo di Vidor (TV)) for its historic elegance. Here you'll find a beautiful tasting room and the opportunity to take a tour of the vineyards aboard a vintage Fiat 500, a dive into Italian style.
Another Cantina we love very much is Marchiori (via Rialto, 3 Farra di Soligo, Treviso) for the biodiversity of biotypes at the heart of the project “The prime factors of the Superior” which will allow you to discover the sensory diversity of the region's grape varieties, starting with Glera tonda, Glera Lunga, Perera, Verdiso and Bianchetta.
After so much beauty, it's time to head home. Enjoy your well-deserved rest by our pool or in the silence of the Court's park, among the trees, before getting ready for the evening.
To end the day beautifully, a 5-minute walk will lead you to discover the restaurant At Gigetto's, the nickname by which Luigi Bortolini is known, the owner of the establishment who inherited it from his grandmother when she ran the “Inn with Stables at the Star,” a place of refreshment since the early 1900s.
