Climbing among the vineyards above Valdobbiadene, a short walk from San Pietro di Barbozza, Trattoria alla Cima has welcomed guests since 1969 in an old farmhouse nestled among orchards and rows of vines. It is one of the historic dining spots of the Marca Trevigiana, featured among Slow Food's Osterie d'Italia, with a family farm that still cultivates its own vineyards a stone's throw from the restaurant.
It all begins in 1969, when Antonio Rebuli opened a tavern set up in an old farmhouse, a simple refreshment spot where one could have a snack of bread, salami and *soppressa*, surrounded by family orchards and vineyards. In 2000, his son Isidoro took over the management and, staying true to his father's ethics, revisited ancient recipes with a contemporary touch, never compromising on local excellence.
Trattoria alla Cima is not just a restaurant: it is also a farm with its own vineyards in the locality of San Pietro di Barbozza, in the heart of the Prosecco Hills UNESCO World Heritage Site. On milder days, guests can have lunch or dinner on the covered panoramic terrace, overlooking the rows of vines and the Valdobbiadene valley; on cooler evenings, they move indoors to the dining room, where the open fireplace warms the atmosphere. Grilled meats nevertheless remain the beating heart of the kitchen, amongst the restaurant's approximately 120 covers.

The kitchen follows the most authentic Venetian tradition, featuring seasonal dishes, homemade pasta, mountain dairy cheeses and Piave trout. Signature dishes include risotto with Cartizze and basil, and grilled meats cooked over the open fireplace, often accompanied by spit-roasted meat. A must-try is the “Merenda del Mazarol”, a traditional dish of pan-fried soppressa with ricotta, radicchio and cider vinegar — a direct homage to the restaurant's peasant roots.

San Pietro di Barbozza is one of the beating hearts of the Prosecco Hills, with its vineyards climbing the steepest slopes of the denomination. A stop at Cima naturally pairs well with a walk along the’San Pietro di Barbozza ring: discovering Vignarte, the very same land celebrated at the table by the Rebuli family for over fifty years.
