The unmissable stops: the water and rock tour in the Mis Valley

The itinerary focuses on the shores of Lake Mis, a basin nestled between imposing rock faces. It is reached by taking the provincial road of the Mis Valley from Sospirolo, after Santa Giustina Bellunese.

The Cadini del Brenton: a well-marked path leads to a sequence of fifteen natural pools carved into the rock by the Brenton stream. The pools are connected by small waterfalls, with shades ranging from emerald green to cobalt blue. Some exceed four metres in depth. Swimming in them is forbidden, as is lying on the rocky edges, which are very slippery: a measure to protect the fragile ecosystem and visitors' safety. Simply being close to the pools still offers immediate refreshment.

The Cascata della Soffia: just a few minutes from the same car park, the Soffia stream makes a spectacular plunge into a narrow gorge. The mist that rises from the bottom creates a natural “air conditioning effect”, which is priceless on the hottest days.

The meadows around the lake: the equipped green areas overlooking the lake are perfect for laying out picnic blankets, letting children play and enjoying the sun softened by the lake breeze.

Bar Alla Soffia — the only refreshment spot right by the Cadini and Cascata della Soffia car park, with a view of the lake: it offers simple, wholesome dishes (polenta, pastin, local cheeses, sandwiches and platters), convenient for anyone looking for a quick stop after a walk.

Ristoro di Pian Falcina — halfway up the lake, in the equipped area towards the Val Falcina path: a bar-restaurant with table service and a picnic area with barbecues available, convenient if you prefer to stay longer in the shade.

The signature picnic by La Corte di Marga: if you prefer the complete freedom of eating on the shores of the lake, pack your cool bag before setting off from Miane. Drop by our wine shop before you hit the road: fresh bread, Treviso sopressa, cheese and a bottle of Bronner PIWI Giol kept cool in the cooler bag.
